The Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg Certificate for Teaching and Learning at University Level is made up of different modules. It offers a didactic combination of workshops, practical consulting and classroom observation and is based on international standards with regard to its requirements. The certificate includes three modules, comprising a total of 200 work units (AE) of 45 minutes each.<\/p>\n

This module will allow you to deepen your understanding of the requirements for teaching and learning at higher education institutions, systematically expand and reflect on your didactic knowledge, and test your didactic competencies in practice.<\/p>\n

Module II \u201cTeaching and Learning\u201d<\/h4>\n

A closer look at\u00a0 topics (60AE)<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Module II, you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of topics that are particularly relevant to your specific teaching activities. To this end, you will participate in a total of eight continuing education days, which are divided into four subject areas. Each topic area must be covered.<\/p>\n

1. Planning, designing and conducting courses
2. Avising, supporting and assessing students
3. Evaluating and reflecting on teaching
4. Innovating and further developing teaching and currcula<\/p>\n

Module III “Teaching and Learning”<\/h4>\n

Establishing individual areas of focus (80 AE)<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Module III, you will apply the skills and experience you acquired in Modules I and II to further develop your own teaching and teaching personality and to further refine your personal teaching profile. Module III comprises 80 work units, which are divided as follows:
1. Implementation and written documentation of an individual Module III project (72 AE).
2. Written final reflection (8 AE) reflecting on personal skill development throughout the entire certification process (Modules I-III).
The individual Module III project can be carried out in one of the following 4 variants. Some variants can also be combined with each other:
Option 1: Teaching development project (up to 72 AE)
Option 2: Structure and curriculum development (32\u201372 AE)
Option 3: Product development for teaching (32\u201372 AE)
Option 4: Individual development (up to 72 AE) with a choice between further development and reflection or portfolio.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg Certificate comprises 7 ECTS credits. The certificate can be recognized in doctoral degree programs and for habilitations in accordance with the relevant habilitation regulations. The respective degree programs or habilitation committees decide on recognition.<\/p>\n
