The HDZ and other institutes for educational development in Germany have agreed on common quality standards for the recognition of credits earned in further education programmes in the area of educational development. The goal is to simplify the process of recognising credits earned at other educational development institutes. The quality standards which have to be fulfilled are defined in a formal declaration. The purpose of the agreement is to increase the mobility of participants and to make the programmes available to more people. Courses specifically treating topics of educational development, such as “teaching and learning” and other completed further education courses clearly related to educational development and/or higher education teaching can be recognised. Courses completed as part of an undergraduate degree (including teacher education programmes) cannot be recognised. In case of other kinds of courses, recognition may be granted on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the responsible educational development unit in this regard. More information is provided here.
